Learning and benefits

Our benefits offering includes access to project management and marketing qualifications, gym membership, private healthcare insurance and pension arrangements. The package applicable to this role is confirmed during recruitment.

Salary, hours and other employment terms will be discussed during the recruitment process.

The role in practice.

The Dubai Business Development Manager will build client and partner relationships around practical AI consultancy, business systems and training. Your work will help an organisation move from a broad interest in AI to a defined problem, a relevant proposal and a considered commercial decision.

Some opportunities may involve teams in more than one market. You will clarify which organisation is buying, where the work would be delivered and who owns each next step. A useful relationship is built on shared understanding and follow-through, not a proposal sent before the need is clear.

Where your contribution matters

  • Develop a focused pipeline of organisations and potential partners with a credible fit to Kent’s offer.
  • Distinguish a direct client requirement from a referral, delivery partnership or wider commercial collaboration.
  • Explore intended users, existing systems and the practical boundaries of a proposed pilot or learning programme.
  • Keep partner discussions and client commitments clearly documented so responsibilities do not become ambiguous.

Illustrative early priorities.

The first-month plan is discussed with your manager and adjusted to the role, team and starting priorities.

01

Understand the offer and relationships

This illustrative first-months plan will be confirmed with your manager. Learn the service boundaries, agree priority customer profiles and understand how commercial partnerships would be evaluated.

02

Develop qualified conversations

Test assumptions with potential clients and partners. Record the problem, decision owners, delivery location and information required for a useful next discussion.

03

Shape workable opportunities

Bring specialist colleagues into promising discussions. Help define scope, responsibilities and a clear handover, and review why opportunities progress or stall.

How the work connects with the team.

  • Technical teams translate client needs into feasible discovery or delivery options.
  • Training teams help distinguish a skills gap from a need for a new system.
  • Management coordinates partnership terms and any commitments involving other markets.

Prepare for a useful selection conversation.

Discuss a relationship you developed

Explain your contribution, how you qualified the opportunity and how you maintained trust when requirements changed.

Evaluate a potential partnership

You may discuss a scenario involving introductions or shared delivery and identify the responsibilities that need agreement.

Present a clear next step

Show how you turn an exploratory conversation into a concise summary, unanswered questions and a proportionate proposal.

Questions worth asking.

Is the role focused only on selling software?

The advertised scope covers AI consultancy, business solutions and training, with the route shaped by the client’s actual need.

Should I share customer names and records?

Use examples you are authorised to discuss. A sanitised account of your approach is more useful than confidential client records.

Does the role automatically cover every Gulf market?

The vacancy is based in Dubai and requires knowledge of the UAE business environment. Any wider territory or travel responsibilities will be agreed.
