Project management

Project Management Office — Level 6

Explore a professional development pathway for project controls and PMO practice with Kent Business College.

Learning with a practical purpose.

Develop a PMO that earns confidence through useful decisions and dependable delivery information. KBC’s Certified PMO Professional Level 6 programme brings together governance, integrated controls and professional judgement. Begin by examining the organisation’s needs and designing a credible remit for its PMO. Teaching, assessment and programme certification are provided through Kent Business College UK.

This is a programme comprising several modules. Each Kent Consultancy semester module contains 14 weekly online sessions of two hours, providing 28 live hours alongside guided and independent work. The outline below is an introductory PMO purpose and governance module, not the whole Level 6 programme. KBC confirms the complete duration, remaining modules and assessment plan separately. Any later professional designation requires its awarding organisation’s application and assessment.

Apply the learning

A PMO operating model for a growing organisation

Recommend how a fictional organisation should establish or improve its PMO. Use evidence from the case to justify services, authority and assurance arrangements. Explain what could be implemented immediately and what should wait until capability and stakeholder support have developed.

Your project evidence can include

  • Context assessment and operating-model recommendation.
  • Mandate, service priorities and governance documents.
  • Reflective professional evidence and improvement roadmap.

Use anonymised, public or suitable synthetic material where workplace information is confidential. The issued assessment brief confirms the required evidence.

Assessment, feedback and certification.

  • Critical written analysis supported by practical evidence.
  • A module portfolio and professional discussion against KBC’s issued brief.
  • Full programme certification depends on the complete programme requirements, not attendance at this introductory module alone.

Teaching and the relevant course certificate are provided through Kent Business College in the UK. A Kent Business College course certificate is distinct from a separate professional-body qualification or examination. Eligibility, the exact award and any examination inclusions are confirmed for the chosen route.
