Automatic activity recording

Move beyond the end-of-month chase.

Reconstructing learning from calendars, messages and memory creates work for learners and coaches. EvidRise automatically records LMS activity time and links activities with relevant KSBs, creating a more connected starting point for the learning record.

Your team can review what the activity involved, how it relates to the training plan and what evidence supports it. This makes conversations about progress more specific and helps distinguish a gap in learning from a gap in recording.

01

Activity

Keep the learning activity connected to its course or curriculum context, rather than relying on an isolated number of hours.

02

Time

Capture recorded LMS activity time to reduce manual reconstruction and support a more timely review of the learner’s record.

03

KSB context

Connect the activity with the intended knowledge, skills and behaviours, so its relevance can be considered alongside the evidence.

Evidence with professional oversight

Recorded time is the beginning of the review.

Not every minute spent in an LMS qualifies as funded off-the-job training. The provider must check the activity against the rules applicable to the apprentice’s start date and programme, including its purpose, relevance, timing and eligibility.

EvidRise helps organise the record for that decision. It does not turn a login, attendance entry, progress review or assessment into eligible training simply because time has been captured. Agree the treatment of activities and the approval process during implementation.

A practical provider workflow

Capture. Review. Discuss. Improve.

01

Capture the learning

Use automatic activity records alongside the appropriate evidence for learning that takes place elsewhere. Keep the record close to the actual learning experience.

02

Review the context

Check the activity’s relationship to the training plan and standard, the evidence available and the rules that apply to the learner.

03

Act on the gaps

Use missing records or uneven participation as a prompt for a conversation. Establish whether the learner needs protected learning time, clearer guidance or additional support.

A connected record also helps teams identify repeated administrative friction. If learners regularly struggle to describe activities or map evidence, the response may be clearer curriculum instructions or a better induction rather than another reminder.

Your questions, answered

A clearer picture before you choose.

Does EvidRise automatically make every activity eligible OTJ training?

No. It captures activity and supports the evidence trail. The provider retains responsibility for eligibility, accurate recording and compliance with the funding rules that apply to each apprenticeship.

Does every apprentice have the same weekly hours requirement?

No. Requirements depend on the applicable funding rules, start date, standard and training arrangements. EvidRise should be configured around those requirements rather than a single universal weekly figure.

Does a KSB tag prove competence?

A tag shows an intended link. Competence is established through appropriate evidence and assessment; staff still need to consider the quality, sufficiency and relevance of that evidence.
